Why Sponsor?

Through your regular contributions you will assist in providing important benefits to a special child living in our society. Our goal is “to help children become self-reliant, positive, dynamic citizens of their communities”.

As a sponsor, we provide you with a number of significant benefits.

When you first become a sponsor, you will receive a special letter from the director of your child’s area, acquainting you with the area and the conditions there

  • A handwritten welcome letter from your sponsored child
  • A new letter from your child about every six months and an annual photo so you can see your child change and growth
  • A yearly progress report with updated information about your child
  • Opportunities to send your child letters and help provide gifts for birthdays and other special occasions.
  • Continuous newsletters via email on the Foundation progress in society and its upcoming events.

And, the fulfillment of opening your heart to a special child who will remember your kindness and compassion for a lifetime!

Sponsorship Benefits

Wonderful things happen when you make the choice to.

With your aid and support, sponsorship gives underprivileged children the environment they need to grow up healthy and holistically. In addition, our programs and services are adapted to meet the changing needs of children as they develop into young adults.

  •  Food and clean water – readily access to daily food and clean water as our basic needs is fundamental to each child. Food plays an important role in our children's daily lives to ensure the proper health and growth. As food prices rise, children around the world are suffering from malnutrition and hunger. In fact research shows a child dies from hunger related causes every seven seconds. Your contribution will multiply six times in the impact to provide much-needed relief.
  • Medical Care - Easy and simple access to medical care / treatment is vital during the sponsorship. It is regularly important to check the height and weight of each child in monitoring their development. Those with medical conditions are treated promptly, given any necessary tests and medication, and even referred to specialists as needed. In addition, through participation in our programs, the children would also have opportunities to learn about precautionary health procedures and overall wellness.
  • Educational Assistance - Even though school attendance is not mandatory for all children, it is strongly encouraged. When circumstances prevent some from obtaining a traditional education, our project volunteers will work with these children to locate appropriate choices such as home study, vocational training, and other meaningful program to help them become independent adults.
  •  Clothing and shoes - Teenagers particularly welcome new clothing. Clothing items such as jeans, shirts and blouses, shoes are tangible benefits that help support their self-esteem. As such, we welcome such items for the children in need.

Sponsorship is a great way to experience the joys of helping a needy child, and make a lasting difference in his or her life. We hope you will consider sponsorship an ongoing commitment and continue to provide long-term support for your child. It is the best way to make the sponsorship program affordable and efficient. More importantly, it can make a lasting difference and change the underprivileged children's view of the world.

Where to Start

We believe that change starts with one person.

RAFFA House has found a way for one person to make a tangible and lasting difference in a world that is too often defined by the inability to fight back – sponsorship! A sponsor's regular contributions help provide impoverished children with basic necessities through RAFFA House transformative benefits and services. Sponsors help provide:

  •  Food and clean water
  • Medical Care
  • Educational Assistance
  • Clothing and shoes
  • Important life-skill training
  • Improved living conditions

As a sponsor, you will be making a real difference in a needy child's life...and help make the world a better place.
